[00:00:00] You are listening to The Subconscious Expert, the podcast where your subconscious becomes your one way ticket to the mind blowing results you desire in your life and business. I've said it before, and I will say it a hundred times again. Your business cannot outgrow your mindset. And if you want to grow your business, it always starts with growing your subconscious.

So let's dive into the subconscious breakthrough you so deeply deserve.

Oh, hello, gorgeous lady. And welcome back to the subconscious expert. Today we are talking about. Making your business harder than it needs to be. And I know there is a lot of you out there doing exactly that. How do I know? Because I was there myself.

Now, what if I told you that business gets to be easy? That success doesn't require burnout, over complication, or [00:01:00] constantly second guessing your every move? Now, I know you. I know you, and I know exactly what you're thinking. Yeah, Beck, whatever. Not my bloody business. I have so much to do. I have so many clients.

I can't just decide that it's that easy. In fact, I like it when things aren't easy. Because here's the thing. You are making your business harder than it needs to be. And the crazy part, a lot of people don't even realize it. And that is why today's podcast is to call you out on how hard you're actually making it so.

Buckle in, buster, because today we are going deep into the subconscious reasons as to why you keep choosing struggle, why you are addicted to overcomplication, and most importantly, how to shift out of it. Now, as you listen to today's podcast episode, I want you to notice. [00:02:00] Where in your business do you feel resistance?

Where do you catch yourself saying, well, it just has to be this way? Because that's where we're going to start unlocking the ease. So let's bloody get into it. First of all, why do you keep making business harder than it needs to be? We know your brain actually doesn't want ease. Which feels weird, right, to hear?

It wants the familiar. Your subconscious mind isn't wired for efficiency. It isn't. It's wired for survival. And in survival mode, familiar equals safe. So even though logically You might be craving the ease. You might be craving your business to feel easier. Your brain will automatically default to what it knows.

And for most of us, if you haven't done the work on the identity around this, [00:03:00] that means hard work, hustle, and struggle. Your subconscious is a literal prediction machine. So, it's job, as to why you default to this hard, it's job is to take everything you've experienced in your life, everything you've experienced before, and actually use it to determine what will keep you safe in the future.

That means, if you've grown up hearing things like You have to work hard to succeed. Nothing worth having comes easy. Struggle will really build your character. That's just how we do things. Then your subconscious linked struggle to success. And it built a neural pathway that says, hard work equals validation.

Hustle equals success. Overworking every single day equals worthiness. So now Even [00:04:00] when success starts to feel easy, your subconscious sounds the frickin alarm. It sounds the alarm, and it's like, wait, wait, wait, hang on. This is too simple. This feels too good. This feels too easy. This feels like too much fun.

I shouldn't be paid for feeling this way. Maybe I need to tweak my strategy. Oh, no, no, no, no. I can't charge that much. People won't pay unless I'm over delivering, breaking my boundaries. Uh, that's how it's got to be. I can't take a step back because what if I take a step back? Everything's going to crumble.

I know you know a few of these narratives. Why? Because your subconscious doesn't see ease as safe. In fact, it sees it as risky. And look, I get my clients say this to me. All the time. They go, Beck, is it really that simple? And I'm like, yes, yes, it fricking is. You have just been conditioned to believe that it's not.

[00:05:00] Now your nervous system and this struggle safety loop adds another layer to this. Because your nervous system is conditioned to actually expect a certain level of stress. And I see so many of my clients come in who have spent years operating in high stress, in hustle, in overwhelm. And guess what?

Because they've spent so many years in high stress, hustle, overwhelm, their body has adapted. And actually, that is, that amount of stress, that amount of overwhelm, that amount of hustle, is their baseline level of safety. That's why you're tied to being on all the time. Because when you're not, it feels that fucking uncomfortable that you go back to that baseline.

In fact, you feel more comfortable when you're in stress. You get more done when you're in stress, that's what you say. Oh no, I like to be under pressure because that's when I work the best. [00:06:00] Is it? Is it actually? Is it actually? And what happens when things get easier? Your nervous system interprets the drop in stress as a sign that something is wrong.

Oh my god, no, I can't be sitting here, like, I should be doing more. Like, why am I not stressed right now? In fact, I don't feel stressed, so let me go and find something to stress about. In fact, let me stress about the fact that I'm not stressing right now. If I slow down, everything will fall apart. And just like that, you'll find yourself literally manufacturing stress.

You will find things to make you stressed. Am I hearing a, oh my god, I feel so called out right now. You'll be tweaking your strategy. You'll be overcomplicating things. You'll be pushing harder just to get back to that normal, quote on quote, normal feeling of struggle. And this is what we call functional stress addiction.

It's when your body [00:07:00] becomes so used to stress that it actively seeks it out. Hello, reticular activated system. The moment that you feel ease, the moment your business starts to feel good, you're like, Let me find something to worry about! Woohoo! Let me find something to self sabotage in another area of my life, because I need to be in worry.

Yes? Are we agreeing? And Even when you start to create more ease in business, your subconscious will try to pull you back into familiar patterns. I have to call my clients out on this all the time. In fact, I've done it at least five times this week, because here's how it does it. Number one, overcomplication.

So, you take a strategy that's been working, that you've got clients with, that has actually done you very good, and you convince yourself that you need to add more, more content, more effort, more moving parts, because deep down, simple feels wrong. But guess what? [00:08:00] Simple scales. So that's the reason why you are struggling to scale right now.

Number two, undercharging and over delivering. You find yourself discounting your offers, adding a hundred thousand bonuses, giving extra time, going over your boundaries because the idea of earning more without exhausting yourself triggers subconscious guilt. Or number three, what I see, is reverting to Busyness.

Oh, the busy badge of honor, and you fill your schedule with busy work, tweaking your website, redoing your offers, endlessly planning in your Google Drive, because True business level ease feels unfamiliar. Have I called you out enough yet? I told you to buckle in, didn't I? Now, we want to reframe the ease versus hard work belief, because the truth of the matter is, your highest level of [00:09:00] success will come when ease feels safe.

It's not about working harder. It's about working in alignment and intention. So, for example, I was stuck in this. I am a hard worker. I have watched my mom and dad be hard workers. I've spoke about this before on the podcast. So, therefore, if I'm not working every hour under the sun, stretching myself, going over my boundaries with clients like I'm not working hard enough.

No, no, no, no. I really had to reign that back and you know how intentional I am with how I work in the business. That doesn't mean I don't work. That doesn't mean I sit on the beach every day. It means I'm very intentional and aligned with what I'm working on. It's not about earning ease. It's about rewiring your brain to allow it.

And it's not about proving your worth. The biggest one I see, biggest one I see around busyness, hard working, hustle. That worth piece is so tied into [00:10:00] it. What it's actually about is embodying your freaking value. And when you train your subconscious and your nervous system to trust in you. Ease, your business will stop feeling like a fucking uphill battle, because if you don't do that, your business will continue to feel an uphill battle 12 months, 18 months, 3 years, and then you'll be sitting here in 5 years time being like, why is this still hard?

And it's still hard because no amount of strategy will change these patterns. Now, this is how kind of tangibly I see it showing up in people's businesses. Number one, you keep changing your offers instead of selling them consistently. So a lot of refining, a lot of tweaking, a lot of adjusting, repositioning, but actually you're just avoiding selling the damn thing.

Why? Because if you actually go all in on one offer, You remove your escape route. [00:11:00] Now, if it doesn't sell, it's not the offer's fault, usually it's you. And that feels terrifying. So instead, you make business harder by constantly switching up things, which then only confuses your audience. There is no consistency, there's no build of compound, there's no momentum, and therefore your audience is like, wait, hang on, she's launching something else, I didn't even know what she was launching the last time.

Number two, you overcomplicate your content strategy instead of focusing on what works. Instead of doubling down on the type of content that actually has brought you in leads and sales in the past, you go, oh no, can't have been that. You convince yourself that you need to do more. You start adding in TikTok, repurposing everything, switching up platforms, planning this fucking content.

Complex content calendar and suddenly content feels like a full time job just to literally market yourself But you know, do we actually need any of that? Do you have a team in place to have that or [00:12:00] are you are are you? overcomplicating it to Feel like you're working harder like a lot of the time. I always say we do not have to reinvent the wheel.

Our subconscious blocks what's worked in the past and goes, no, no, no. Well, I didn't, you know, that didn't actually work. So maybe I need something new. It did work. You just didn't allow yourself enough time to make it work again because you sabotaged. Oh, oh, it's good. And then the last one is kind of avoiding delegating because you don't trust things will get done properly.

I see this so often when clients come in to me one to one because they're kind of at that stage of their business and your subconscious believes that more clients equals more stress, more money equals more responsibility. So you keep things feeling manageable, um, So you can hold on to everything yourself because the more you keep yourself stuck in the doing, the more you reinforce the belief that success equals struggle.

And do [00:13:00] you know what we know about your subconscious? It will always bring you back to what feels safe. You're not actually stuck. You're keeping yourself safe by keeping things hard. Because if business was truly easy, if success just happened to you, you'd have to let go of your old identity, the one that equates struggle with worthiness.

I've been there. I talk about it again and again. There is a podcast episode where I literally talk about being addicted to the struggle. I will link it in the show notes. Go into that if this is hitting. But it really does keep playing and playing and playing unless we look into it. Into it. So segue, how do we shift this?

How do we rewire your brain to make business feel easier? Number one, I want you to identify where your brain is [00:14:00] wired for hard. So right now your subconscious mind has neural pathways that reinforce the belief that success must be difficult. Your brain is literally predicting effort, stress, overwhelm, hustle, because that's what it's being conditioned to expect.

But, can we shift that wiring by first bringing awareness to it? So, couple of questions. Where am I defaulting to struggle instead of flow or ease or intention, whatever word you want to use? Where do I believe I have to prove my worth before I receive success? And number three, can I allow my brain to create new neural pathways where working intentionally, where ease, whatever word [00:15:00] works for you, is the norm.

Your brain follows the path of least resistance. So if it's been wired for struggle, it will continue seeking the struggle until you continuously and consciously introduce a new pattern. That's what I do in my world. Step number two, we want to rewire your subconscious to hold ease as the default. So your subconscious mind Doesn't differentiate between that real and imagined experience.

So by visualizing the safety in the ease, you are training your brain to accept that as new, the new normal. So I want you to picture the version of you who scales with momentum. What does she believe about success? What has become her automatic thought pattern? Success is my natural state. My nervous system feels safe, holding more money, holding more visibility, [00:16:00] holding more impact.

Scaling my business actually reduces stress because I have designed it to support me. The more I scale, the more money I earn. The more people I can have to support me. That was one that I worked on with my client yesterday. You can really see what we want to focus on instead because the brain operates on that neuroplasticity.

So every repetition of these beliefs, these new beliefs will strengthen them. And that's the more you think in alignment with the intention. The faster your subconscious updates, it's a blueprint repetition, repetition, repetition. And then the last thing we want to do is we want to create safety in the path of least resistance.

So your brain resists change when it perceives that threat. So if ease or working intentionally or. Not working as hard. However you want to say it feels unsafe because you've always [00:17:00] equated success with struggle. It will always pull you back to familiar patterns. This is why having what's up with my one to one client.

So I call them out on this day today really is so powerful because we start to really build that neural pathway. We want to anchor safety in the simplest path forwards. So if one content type magnetizes leads for you, repeat it. That will strengthen the neural association with ease. If an offer sold effortlessly, sell it again.

The more your brain experiences success without burnout, the safer it will feel. If something can be automated, delegated, do it. Your brain thrives when energy is conserved. So, Really start to have a look at these because your subconscious is listening. The moment that you decide that success gets to [00:18:00] be easy, intentional, inevitable, your brain starts rewiring that as truth.

So here's what I want you to take away from today. Business does not have to be hard. Success does not have to be earned through struggle and you can let it be and feel fun and enjoyable and passionate and it will still count. It will still count. I hope this has opened your eyes to something. Make sure you're working through those three steps and I will see you in the next episode.
