[00:00:00] You are listening to The Subconscious Expert, the podcast where your subconscious becomes your one way ticket to the mind blowing results you desire in your life and business. I've said it before, and I will say it a hundred times again, your business cannot outgrow your mindset. And if you want to grow your business, it always starts with growing your subconscious.

[00:00:26] So let's dive in to the subconscious breakthrough you so deeply deserve. Hello, my beautiful, beautiful podcast listeners, and welcome back to The Subconscious Expert. Now, you've already seen in the title, we are in fact talking about consistency today, but more frankly, the lack of consistency, especially when it comes to The needle moving activities in your business, selling online, and actually following through consistently on your big dreams and your big goals.

[00:01:02] The reason why I wanted to speak about this today is because I have so many incredible, driven, powerhouse female entrepreneurs come to who I know want the success they want. the lifestyle, they want the freedom, but actually are grappling and battling with this lack of consistency. And it's not that they can't be consistent, because they actually have a lot of evidence in other areas of their life where they are consistent.

[00:01:36] But when it comes to the business, when it comes to doing the tasks that they know they're God damn well would actually help them, we start to lose consistency, or we have this, what I call the circle of life, where you are like, right, this is the week, guys, like, this is it. You start really, really motivated, you're recording the TikToks, you're on Instagram, you're selling on your stories, everything's feeling good, you're like, oh my god, I'm doing and either something happens in your life, or you start to self sabotage, or Insert what happens and you fall off the bandwagon, the consistency drops off, the consistency with your community drops off, and then you're kind of back around again and we're just in this constant spiral.

[00:02:25] And I get a lot of people ask me how I show up and how I sell all the time, how I am so consistent and so intentional. with my business, with my content, with my podcast, with whatever I'm putting out, I'm very, very consistent with it. And this doesn't come down to the fact that I have like a constant stream of content ideas flowing out of my head at all times.

[00:02:53] And yes, 100 percent I need to be creative, but what's allowed me to be this consistent day in, day out, so that I have been able to scale my business in the way that I have, you know, hitting six figures in Q1 alone of this year and going on to multi six figures in Q2, is because my subconscious is in tip top shape to allow this to happen.

[00:03:21] And actually, really, on reflection, this wasn't always my identity. And I have spoke about this a lot, you know, my last minute Haydon identity. It is still a big part of the joke that we have in the family. We're all last minute Haydons. And I knew that I couldn't grow and build a business with this last minute identity.

[00:03:45] And sometimes, yes, obviously, I still do things last minute, and that's okay. But, With the business that I was building and especially going on maternity leave and knowing that my business model was going to be changing a lot, like, there wasn't any way that I could be, one, winging it, two, not consistent, or three, flying by the seat of my pants.

[00:04:07] And my identity has changed a lot since I've had the business because I wasn't born with it. this way. Like, I had to work on my subconscious mind and my identity to become this way, and if I can frickin do it, you can bloody too, because if I really look at it, four years ago, I was last minute, I was very, very avoidant, I was scrappy, I was unplanned, I was underprepared, content went out.

[00:04:40] On the day it was created, and I really truly felt like my business was always running me instead of the other way around. Like the fear that I had was that my business was literally running me. Now today, I'm an organized, in control CEO. I have systems that run like a literal world around me. Well oiled machine.

[00:05:04] I set very early deadlines for myself. I break tasks into those small, manageable chunks. I'm chunking down. I'm always growing in the direction of my greater vision. Like, there was a reason why I was able to have a multi five figure, low ticket launch whilst getting engaged in New York. on holiday. Like, there was a reason why that happened, and that is because of the consistency and the identity that I built in the business.

[00:05:34] Four years ago, I was fearful, I was anxious of never being able to be the successful business owner. That I envisioned of never being as successful as the other business owners that I saw online, always thinking like, what, what if it doesn't happen for me, always feeling so fricking behind, like so behind, and today.

[00:05:59] Reprogrammed my mind to be literally resilient as fuck. Like I view challenges as opportunities. We're growing, we're obstacle block, you know, breaking through. And my personal worth is totally detached from my business, completely two separate entities. Four years ago, easily distracted, scattered, unfocused, inconsistently showing up.

[00:06:21] And quite frankly, if you're looking for. A Grade A procrastinator, look no further, because I was bloody one of them, but now, you know, the business that I run now and the CEO that I am now is not just this Instagram business, it's an actual business that has an actual business model with intentionality behind it, we're always working into the future, forward focused, nothing is happening by the seat of our pants, it's Rarely procrastinating, able to get myself into really deep states of focus, where I can complete tasks without distraction, super productive, the to do list, the very high levels of creativity, but this wasn't an overnight fix.

[00:07:07] It was a constant dedication to doing the subconscious mindset work. And I really want to have a look for you today as to why you right now are lacking consistency in your business. Because I know when you are a high achiever, when you are driven, When you are tenacious, it really can get so fucking annoying when you keep saying you're going to do something and you don't follow through.

[00:07:37] Or you write the same thing on your to do list for the 17th time and you're still not doing it. And I really want to, in today's podcast episode, dive into the core of why so many entrepreneurs struggle to achieve consistent success in their businesses and actually why. You lack consistency when it comes to showing up for your business, when it comes to showing up for yourself maybe even, um, when it comes to doing the needle moving activities, selling, launching, putting things out there and actually how much this comes down to your subconscious and I'm going to go into the neuroscience behind your behavior.

[00:08:17] So if you have found yourself of recent, or maybe for a couple of years now, and you're like, I am at wit's end, making these grand plans, setting your big goals, and then not following through. This episode, my honey pie, is for you, because I really want to explore and break down the real reasons behind it, and how you can break free from the patterns that are currently stopping you.

[00:08:45] So, let's have a look first of all, obviously, with the subconscious mind. You are listening to the subconscious expert, and that's where we're always going to go first of all. So, to understand why we struggle with consistency, we obviously first need to look at the role of the subconscious mind. And like I say, pretty much in every podcast, 95 percent of our thoughts, our actions, our behaviors, our decisions, is In our day to day life are happening on a subconscious level.

[00:09:11] So this means that much of what you do or don't do, which is the case right now, if you are currently resonating with this podcast, comes from that deep rooted programming that you probably, or might not be even aware of. And if you are sitting there or you've ever sat there wondering why you're avoiding these important tasks in your business, despite.

[00:09:37] Yes, despite knowing they are the key to your success, it is likely because your subconscious mind is pulling the goddamn strings. Now, let's pause for a little reflection. I want you to take a moment to think about the last time you procrastinated on a needle moving task in your business. Just have a little ponder.

[00:10:02] It might have been three minutes before this podcast. You might actually even be procrastinating by listening to this podcast right now, but have a little think. The last time you procrastinated on a needle moving activity task in your business, really start to have a bit of a reflection of what was happening in your mind, what was happening in your body.

[00:10:26] Did you feel the resistance behind the task? Did you get distracted? What was your procrastination destination? I've spoke about that in a podcast before. What happened as you were doing the behaviour of procrastination? Now, we're not going to do anything with these, I just want you to know that these are signs that your subconscious is at work.

[00:10:56] Your subconscious is squirreling away in the background, telling you, or not telling you, to do all of these different things instead, because it is protecting you from perceived threats or discomfort. Literally, that is it. So, actually, now we've reflected and you can see what was happening in your mind, what was maybe going on in your thoughts, maybe what stories or beliefs were coming up, what was happening in your body, did you feel the resistance, what distraction did you do?

[00:11:29] These are all your telltale signs that your subconscious is at work. To protect you. Literally to protect you. And actually when we look at this from a neuroscience perspective, the brain, your brain is wired for survival, not for success. I'm gonna say that again. Your brain is wired for survival and not for success.

[00:11:58] And that means that its primary function is to keep you safe and out of harm's way. So when you are faced with an activity, E. g. Needle moving activity in your business that could push you out of your comfort zone, like selling every day, or launching, or even quite frankly, showing up consistently in your business, your brain may be Perceive that as a threat, because let's take, for example, launching a new offer or launching a new service may trigger the fear of rejection for you.

[00:12:36] It may trigger the fear of failure. It may trigger the fear of judgment. It may trigger the fear that no one's going to sign up and we play that whole story out. And these fears that come up. Even though consciously you know that they're absolutely not rational, what that's actually doing is it's activating these fears that are coming up around the consistency with what you want to be doing.

[00:13:02] It's activating the brain's, it's activating your brain's amygdala and the amygdala is where the fight or flight response lives. So when this happens your body, is going to react by distracting you on Netflix, or by making you feel really fucking unmotivated, or making you feel worthless, or making you go and scroll on social media so you can compare yourself and make yourself feel even worse.

[00:13:32] Yes, I know all of the above, all in the attempt to avoid the danger. And that is why, that is why you start scrolling, that is why you binge Netflix, instead of working on your next launch, because your brain is trying to protect you from the emotional discomfort of that perceived potential failure, of that perceived potential judgment, of that perceived potential rejection.

[00:14:05] Whatever's coming up with what triggers the subconscious mind, if you were to Actually become successful. There is so many things that that could be going on and everyone is very different in the way of beliefs, but I do see similar come up a lot. So now we have a bit of an idea. Let's have a little look into.

[00:14:28] The subconscious beliefs that are happening and that link with self sabotage, because a lot of the times, and another reason you might lack consistency in your business, is due to your subconscious beliefs, this subconscious programming. Because if you're telling yourself that you're not good enough, or that you're not worthy of success, or that or that making money is really difficult, or that I'm never going to be good enough, or this is never going to happen for me, whatever beliefs are going on, these beliefs are so deeply embedded in your subconscious mind, and guess what?

[00:15:09] They will show up as self sabotage when you're trying to make progress. You might set the goal to launch the new offer, but you find yourself delaying it, tweaking it endlessly, constantly going into your Google Drive to have a little another go at the sales page, or had, had, had the launch in your Google Drive for maybe 10 months and you haven't done anything with it, or to be honest, avoiding it altogether.

[00:15:36] This is your subconscious protecting you from the pain of not measuring up to those limiting beliefs. And like we know, if you've listened to the podcast long enough, or if you're new here, let me educate, our subconscious beliefs are often formed very early in life. And they can come a lot of the time between the ages of zero to seven, at a push 14, but they can come from our upbringing, they can come from experiences that we've had, they can come from societal conditioning, and they don't just go away on their own.

[00:16:09] They don't. Because your subconscious is a hard drive. It literally retains everything. Consciously, we don't, of course, because we don't have enough to, like, literally retain every single moment of every single day since we've been born on this earth. But the hard drive of your subconscious keeps everything.

[00:16:31] You know, sometimes I will be working through a belief with a client, and they'll be like, I can't even remember this memory, and I'm like, well yeah, but it's stored in your subconscious and it's having a real effect on how you're currently behaving, and again, this is your subconscious protecting you, and when we have these beliefs, and when you're playing from these beliefs, like I said, they don't just go away on their own, they need to be uncovered, first step, awareness, they need to be challenged, second step, Challenge and really understood, which is where Timeline Therapy comes in.

[00:17:12] This is where I support clients in the membership and in one to ones. And then they need to be reprogrammed. So we need to take whatever that belief was, take whatever that story was, take whatever that memory was and reprogram it. So your subconscious starts to. Program from a different perspective. A lot of it is perspective shifts and reframes when you work with me.

[00:17:36] So let's say you grew up in a household where money was always really scarce and when you are in that household where money was really scarce, you will have internalized the belief that making money is hard. So if we fast forward to today, you might unconsciously Avoid opportunities to make money, even though you are actively trying to grow your business, even though you're DMing me being like, Beck, I'm literally doing everything, why can't I hit this next income goal?

[00:18:14] Because you are Unconsciously avoiding opportunities to make money because of the beliefs that you currently have within your subconscious. Powerful stuff. This is why we need that subconscious support in our business. And actually, when we want those deeper long lasting changes, this is where Hypnotherapy comes in, this is where NLP comes in.

[00:18:41] A lot of the work that I do in the membership where we can rewire those subconscious patterns, it's really, really important. And I'm actually gonna give you some journal prompts at the end of today's podcast episode that is gonna really help you start to uncover what beliefs they are, and then you can go on from there, whether you work through it on yourself, whether you come into one of the containers that I have, but really starting to understand where this lack of consistency is coming from.

[00:19:06] The other thing that I wanted to just pick up on, um, with the lack of consistency, because I see it so often, and I've done quite a few podcasts on this topic alone, is the fear of success. Because, believe it or not, which sometimes really blows my clients minds, Another reason why you might not be consistent is because of the fear of success, and it literally sounds, every time I speak about it, so counterintuitive, but it is so freaking real, because success brings change, it brings responsibility, it brings visibility, sometimes you believe or perceive that it brings pressure, and these, again, these changes can feel so threatening to the subconscious mind, so.

[00:19:51] I see so many people, and I, I put this on my stories recently, I see so many people sabotaging their own success because they're afraid of what will happen when they finally achieve it. Oh, it hits so hard. Frickin deep. Like, they're afraid of what will happen when they actually finally achieve it. Will you be able to handle this success?

[00:20:17] Will you have to work harder? Will people expect more from you? Will they have, want more money from you? All of these questions that your subconscious mind is feeding you as a protection mechanism can trigger the fear, which triggers the amygdala, fight or flight, causing you to slow down or stop taking action altogether.

[00:20:40] It is crazy right? It's crazy. It's not crazy, it's freaking amazing. It's just a conscious mind, baby. Now we can start to see and really understand where this lack of consistency comes from. And I think there's so many people that think they're lazy or they think they have a lack of discipline. And actually, the more times you say you're going to do something and you don't do it, and it's on your list again, You start to create this another subconscious pattern of, I say I'm going to do something and I don't do it.

[00:21:14] So you're literally in a self fulfilling prophecy going around and around and around with your consistency. And a lot of the time, yes, we have to look at the beliefs, but we Also have to look at those really small chunked down daily actions to create the evidence that you can take action, that you do take action, that you are consistent.

[00:21:36] Because like I said at the beginning of the podcast, there are places in your life that you are consistent. You probably are very consistent with washing yourself. Maybe you're very consistent with brushing your teeth. I know that you're very consistent with sleeping. So actually, when we look at it, you can be, you can be consistent.

[00:21:56] You can. So if you're not currently being consistent in your business, that is a disconnect to the task that you're currently trying to do. And this is where we really have to look, because that's where you will find the gold that The magic of understanding why your subconscious is stopping you from doing that task.

[00:22:18] And like I said, a lot of the time it's the fear of success or maybe it is the fear of failure, judgment, whatever it comes from. But really, You running in circles around this and spending hours between a hundred Google documents, refilling your coffee, overthinking, and then the morning's gone and you've not even shown up on stories or whatever that looks like.

[00:22:42] Yes, you are ambitious, but it's making you feel like you're a bloody mess. Like I get it. So what I really want you to look at is what is stopping you from being in the discipline. Because the real issue actually is that you're avoiding the discipline needed to build a sustainable thriving business. And maybe that comes from the idea of truly stepping into your power feels too intimidating for you.

[00:23:13] The thought of holding space for something bigger. Something real scares you and that's keeping you stuck. And actually it's really important for us to be productive in our business, for you to be taking action because days go fast when you run a business. And sometimes you blink and you're like, wow, I'm halfway through the year.

[00:23:33] I'm more than, Halfway through the year and I'm still in the same position as I was when I began the year and that sometimes is through and down to the lack of consistency so it's really breaking through those. So the first thing that I want you to do today is really start to recognize the patterns.

[00:23:52] And we did that by just bringing a bit of awareness in. And that really is, you know, becoming the observer. I use that sentence so often in a lot of containers that I run. Becoming the observer. And what I always say to my clients with this, and I've said it on the podcast before, you come up to that bird's eye view and you really look at yourself.

[00:24:11] You know when you're like having like a weird experience in your life and you're like, wow, I literally floated up and like watched myself above myself at that point. That is what it's like being the observer. Because. When you become aware of when you're avoiding the needle moving activities, I want you to ask yourself what fears or what beliefs or what stories might be at play right now and really start to understand that.

[00:24:38] Now, I've got some journal prompts, which I'm going to go through, and I'm going to pop in the show notes as well, so you can drop in and go kind of spend your own time going through these. Let's hope that you don't procrastinate on doing these as well. But let's kind of start with one specific task, because I think sometimes when you've got loads of little tasks that you keep saying that you're going to do, and then you don't do that, it goes around in circles, right?

[00:25:00] And you end up, it makes a mountain out of a molehill. So let's really have a look at maybe one specific task that. You really want to be consistent with in your business and you know will probably have a very, very, very good chance of helping you out in your business, but you've been avoiding. So, first question, what is the specific task I have been avoiding?

[00:25:24] And how does it make me feel when I think about doing it? We really want to explore the emotions that really come up. And I want you to answer it as quick as it comes up to your head with the subconscious coming, you know, coming, speaking through, but. When you think about taking the action of that specific task, is it fear, is it anxiety, is it overwhelm, is it something else?

[00:25:48] Really start to understand the emotions behind it and what you're saying or what you're feeling when you are avoiding it. So, second question, what thoughts immediately come to mind? To your mind when you imagine completing this task successfully. So are these thoughts quite helpful? Um, are they the better thinking thoughts or are they really hidden doubts and fears?

[00:26:17] You know, if you. Saw yourself successfully completing that task? Is it the fear of success? If, is it like, oh my God, if I completed that task, I've then gotta hold the success, or I've then gotta hold that amount of money, or I've then gotta hold that amount of clients. Next question. What beliefs do I hold about myself that might be making it hard for me to move forward?

[00:26:41] Really, really, really insane awareness question. What beliefs do I hold about myself that might be making it hard for me to move forward? So is it the, I'm not good enough, I don't deserve success, I'm afraid of being judged? Where are you in, in those camps, in those, uh, limiting belief camps? And what, if there is, What is coming up that's holding you back from moving forwards?

[00:27:10] Next question, what fears come up when I imagine myself taking consistent action in my business? Oh, such a good one. What fears come up when I imagine myself taking consistent action in my business? Because, The reason you're getting pissed off is because you know you can take consistent action, but there is something that's holding you or blocking you, cock blocking you, from actually doing that right now, so let's really tap into and understand the fears.

[00:27:40] Is it the fear of failure? Is it the fear of success? Visibility? Rejection? All of the things that I've spoke about today. Next question, how does avoiding this task protect me? How does avoiding this task protect me? What is my subconscious mind trying to shield me from? And I want you to think about how the avoidance actually might be serving you by keeping you safe from discomfort, from failure, from criticism, everything that I spoke about right at the beginning of this podcast.

[00:28:17] And then a couple of future pacing ones to finish off. If I no longer have these fears or beliefs, how would I show up differently in my business? So I want you to see yourself taking this consistent action and see how that feels. So if you didn't have those fears or beliefs, if you came into my world and I waved my magic subconscious wand and I got rid of them for you, what would that then look like?

[00:28:45] What would that lens look like? What would my future self, who has already achieved success, tell me right now about the importance of consistency? And that is your last question for today. Because by God it is so powerful to model and tap into your future self. So why I do it so often. So your last question to finish today, what would my future self.

[00:29:09] Important. Who has already achieved success? Tell me right now about the importance of consistency. And honestly, consistency truly is one of the key components to my success. I hands down put it down to it because when you are consistent with yourself, you not only build trust with yourself, but you build trust with your audience.

[00:29:37] They know that I'm going to be there. They know that I show up for myself and therefore I show up for them. They trust me when they make the investment because they know that I'm going to show up. The consistency is so powerful in business. And that's why I really want us to understand what's currently stopping you from being consistent.

[00:29:56] So I hope that you've enjoyed today's podcast episode. Like I said, if you want to tap into the journal prompts and not Sit there and try and write them all down. They are in the show notes. Just dive on in. You can copy paste them. Go and spend some time really understanding. And maybe you've had your own aha moments without doing the journal prompts today, but just become very aware of that kind of procrastination or overwhelm or what your subconscious mind is doing when you're trying to do the tasks.

[00:30:25] And then we can start to see the beliefs underneath it. And if you do want extra support and help with the beliefs and really Getting into taking the action, the subconscious membership is where you need to be right now. I will see you on the next episode. I love you lots. Bye bye. I love to see you plugging in and listening to the podcast every week.
